Mike: These are actually my hands. I'm severely allergic to shellfish.

Waiter arrives ...
Waiter: May I interest sir in the soup of the day?
Mike: Does it come with ears?

Johnny's Rant

I'm old! Well, exactly one year older to be more specific. To celebrate my birthday I decided to make an extra fancy comic today, you know, add a little razzmatazz. Wait, who even talks like that? I *am* old! Sigh. I also celebrated by sleeping in, and by having whisky and cake for breakfast, but I'm not sure how that relates to the comic.

In the late 80s, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out was one of the biggest and most eagerly anticipated nintendo cartridges around. I might imagine modern video game equivalents like Grand Theft Bronco: O.J. Simpson edition, or Michael Jackson Jesus Juice Bouncy Castle. Wow, that got dark fast.

Anyway, when Punch-Out finally came out, my friends and I gathered in my parents tv room and took turns trying to beat it using the Nintendo Power Glove. It did not go well. The Power Glove was not very accurate, not like the wii is today, and we may have punched each other a few times before breaking a lamp. I loved the Power Glove, it's so bad. For an extra bit of nostalgia I wore my Power Glove to make this strip. Next I'll have to mod it to control Photoshop, and speed up my comic making.
